Mundane

I know it’s been awhile but I’ve spent the past two months in all sorts of places and also working on a couple of pretty exciting things.

I’ve missed writing here, it’s sad I’ve neglected this space just because I’ve had so much on my mind in terms of what I had intended for my own work creatively. Many may not know what exactly I do but now that I’m back on track again, I am definitely going to start to work on my project to make it all happen. I’ve spent the past few months being disappointed with myself and I have changed that, I’ve gained new perspectives, met some amazing individuals who have come to make a huge impact in my life and frankly speaking, lived the most I’ve ever lived in my past 27 years of being, on which I recently celebrated two months ago.

It’s been a fantastic year despite its shortcomings, I found myself hitting rockbottom earlier this year and it’s taken awhile. Pulling oneself out the depths of “can I do this” and into the realm of “I can do this” is a hurdle that any creative must overcome to achieve their goals. When you find yourself on a crossroads like that, it is important to take a step back and ask not what others think, or want, or feel — but to really try to understand your own feelings of doubt, or block, or insecurity.

In the last few months I have personally worked to overcome doubt in multiple respects of life—and being on the other side of things is a complete rejuvenation. When your thoughts are no longer consumed with comparison, with doubt or fear, you allow yourself the freedom to be the best possible version of you. Because no matter the competition, no matter how lost you might feel in the crowd—there is only one you.

It is time for growth and change, a time to embrace your feelings but as well, welcome new ones, a time to let go and focus on you. It is a time of vitality.

  1. LOVE that you’re feeling like you’re in a stronger and more confident place! Self doubt can be the toughest hurdle to overcome, but when you do, it’s like seeing everything in a whole new light. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for you!

  2. Welcome back from your little break. Sometimes, it’s necessary to take some time off to regather your thoughts. I’m happy to hear that you’ve came back feeling better than ever :).
