Adjustments

I am publishing my previous months’ mental baggage-slash-realizations that have been sitting in my drafts folder for quite some time, for the cyberworld’s momentary entertainment on this lazy, bipolar weather… and because I’ve lost the momentum to continue/finish them.

For the past few months, I have been grieving due to the sudden death of my nephew and it was really hard and unfathomable. Our lives totally changed and I thought… life is really like that, it is full of surprises and changes. There’s not a single moment when a change will not be present. The constant of the universe, the motion of impermanence, is observably evident in the world around us and the world within us.

If we examine nature, it is clear that everything is in a constant state dynamic change. Trees are a great example: in cycles they alternate from experiences of growth to experiences of releasing, all the while alive, all the while growing. If we are refusing to grow, then we are moving against the flow of nature; the flow of change is so powerful that resisting it can only cause difficulty.

Sometimes growth hurts, but it is the type of pain that is easier to endure because it is helping us come forward as a better version of ourselves.

CAN YOU FEEL ME?

  1. I am so sorry for the loss of your nephew, April. Sending you hugs and prayers. This is a timely post as I am going through a change in my life too. I don’t know what the future will bring, but I am hopeful what is happening is a good thing that will lead to something even more beautiful. Your photos are lovely. I can sense your sadness, searching, and ultimate hope.

I also have to say I’m loving how you styled the Gucci scarf as a top. Very chic!
