Light in the box

I think there is a certain age, for women, when you become fearless. It’s not that you stop fearing things: I’m still afraid of cockroaches for example. But you stop fearing life itself. It’s when you become fearless in that way that you decide to live.

Perhaps it’s when you come to the realization that the point of life isn’t to be rich, or secure, or even to be loved — to be any of the things that people usually think is the point. The point of life is to live as deeply as possible, to experience fully. And that can be done in so many ways.

Since creating The Promdi Chic years ago, I’ve always tried to stay true to my mission of chasing and sharing the chase towards an inspired life. It was always a side hobby, something I just loved to do, but with time, it evolved into not just me sharing, but me consuming all of the inspiration you share with me and I’m so moved by this. You’ve all truly moved me, changed me, and helped me grow, on Instagram, on my blog; you’ve helped me become the person I am today.

I believe that inspiration, turned passion, turned determination, with a whopping amount of dedication, can make anything come to life. The mind is such a beautiful thing and creativity is just the product of that. The Promdi Chic embodies my philosophy that you should live life inspired, constantly chase what inspires you, always pursue your creativity, and never apologize for who you are.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for inspiring me.

On the other note, I gave this lovely jumpsuit from Light In The Box a spin when we visited the lovely beach, that is Nangaramoan. I would’ve wear this to a formal event but taking it to the beach wouldn’t hurt a toe, right? 😉 Go visit their site, there are more lovely pieces that you could choose from.

  1. Resonating with this so much because I feel as though I AM reaching that fearless point in my life. It’s taken a lot of struggle, confusion, and heartache, but I feel as though I’ve reached a point where I realize that I just want to LIVE. Ben and I have both come to this point in the past couple years, and it’s been such an incredible journey! Very cool that your journey has been documented on your blog too!

  2. Absolutely love your point about how we become fearless at some point – I suppose it comes with age and gets better and better over time! On a different note, you look stunning in this white jumpsuit – and amazing imagery!!
