Cauayan City, Isabela (February 01, 2015) – SM gives more reason to shop at SM City Cauayan with the opening of its transport terminal last January 30, 2015.
Gracing the event are Isabela Governor Faustino Dy III, Cauayan City Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy, and Mr. Cesar Bondoc (Regional Operations Manager for North Luzon-1) and Mr. Ian Ezekiel Balao (Mall Manager of SM Cauayan).
Located along Burgos St., the 12, 157 square meters terminal will serve and give convenience to the mall goers and visitors of Cauayan City. The footbridge from the transport terminal connecting to the second level of SM Cauayan assures shoppers easy accessibility to the mall.
A total of 910 parking slots in addition to the current 660 parking slots of the mall will serve the bustling shoppers of Isabela, Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. The newly constructed transport terminal comprises of 188 parking slots for private cars, a bus bay for 9 buses, 21 XLT and van slots and 32 tricycle slots.
The provincial transport terminal will provide a safe and convenient access to the public transport. It will also give an easy access to northbound buses going to Tuguegarao and southbound buses going to Manila. Van, XLT and tricycles will likewise be accessible to each commuters.
Shoppers and commuters can also enjoy food snacks in the refreshment area at the terminal while waiting for their trip.
Scheduling a trip is also made easy, ticketing booth of buses are also put-up in the transport terminal. A driver’s lounge at the terminal will serve as a resting area of the drivers while waiting for their next trip.
The transport terminal of SM City Cauayan is designed with amenities like clean lavatories for male, female and exclusively designed toilets for PWDs. The terminal is also designed with ramps and hand rails for convenience of PWDs.
An air-conditioned canteen with benches and tables is also provided for the comfort of each passengers.
The transport terminal has also a landscape to make the area warm and vibrant.
